A Bit of Local History
It takes one to Canole one..
Knowle’s roots run deep. It was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as a small settlement called Canole, with just 11 households at the time — making it one of the smaller communities in the area. Fast forward nearly 1,000 years, and Knowle has grown into a welcoming, residential area full of charm, greenery and community spirit.
Public Transport from Knowle
100 yards from a main bus route into Bristol Temple Meads and the City Centre
Our studio is just 2 miles from Bristol Temple Meads Station, with regular buses running along the A37 (Wells Road) into the city centre.
- Greenleaze Bus Stop (2 min walk): Buses 2 and 36 into Bristol, every 10–15 minutes
- Beechmount Grove Stop (7–10 min walk): For the A4 AirDecker to Bristol Airport (26 mins) or Bath (30 mins)
- Outbound buses: The 376 gets you to Wells, Glastonbury, and Street
Return journeys are easy — the stop to get back from town is just two houses down from our front door.
